The Greystones French Institute has an excellent reputation for teaching French to primary school children, secondary school children and adults. We run very small classes and have achieved outstanding exam results over many years. You do not have to take our word on this, here you can read what some of our previous students are saying:
“I really like my French classes because we play games, play battleships in French, make friends and have quizzes every 10 weeks and win prizes. I am starting my 3rd year in September.”
Elvi, 10.
“Throughout Secondary school I never had another teacher as good as Ann. She prepared me excellently for the Leaving cert and enabled me to get the grade I required. She also taught me to love French”
Dearbhail, 19.
“Ann has the happy knack of making the complicated seem logical and simple. My French class is one of my favourite times of the week, improving my mind whilst meeting new local people and having a relaxing chat. It has also really helped my very rusty French.”
John.
“I am very happy with the progress I have made with Ann in Transition year.I am definitely better prepared for 5th year. Really glad I did the course.”
Killian, 16.
“I made new friends and learned lots of French in a fun way.”
Oisin, 11.
“I am in my late seventies, and decided to try and improve my French.I enrolled in Ann Mc Cabe`s classes, I found the classes to be very beneficial and enjoyable, small enough to receive almost one to one tuition, conducted in a stress free atmosphere with good humour and conversation practice. I have enrolled for next year’s course.“
Denis.
“I can highly recommend Ann McCabe; thanks to Ann’s wonderful teaching and meticulous attention to detail my five children each achieved A1 in their Leaving certificates; but equally of importance I feel she has also given them a solid fluency and a lifelong love of French.”

‘‘Not only does your French improve week by week, but the class promotes your confidence in both spoken and written French”
Daragh, 5th yr.
“When I started in 5th year with Ann, I had little confidence with French. After my Leaving I studied Marketing with French in college. Ann gave me such a love of the language that soon I was living and studying in France.”
Finian.
